PALMYRA, N.Y. (January 20, 2016) – Garlock, a leading manufacturer of high- performance fluid sealing and pipeline protection products, is a proud recipient of the inaugural Bluetech Award for Excellence in Clean Air Technology.
The Clean Air Alliance of China (CAAC) presented the award to Garlock in recognition of its advances in emissions control technologies and innovation. The CAAC works in coordination with Chinese lawmakers and government representatives to combat rising pollution levels and improve air quality for countries in Asia and beyond.
The CAAC considered a total of 56 global applicants, each of which underwent months of review, on-site examination and lab testing to determine the validity and quality of their emissions control technology. The CAAC review concluded that Garlock had a significantly advanced breakthrough potential in the clean air technology industry when compared to other industrial organizations.

Garlock was one of only five organizations that received the award, which was presented to company representatives
at the Bluetech International Clean Air Technology Forum in Beijing, China, on December 12, 2015.
In addition to receiving the award, Stan Chen and Principal Applications Engineer Jim Drago gave a presentation on Garlock’s low emission control technology and were part of an expert panel focused on discussing VOC emission control.
